Location great, food ok, staff ok. Went in April outdoor pool was freezing and there is no indoor pool. Hotel not really for young children...wouldn't go back again simple.

We visited during ramadan but there was not much of its influence to be seen in the hotel. Serving the dinner an hour later than normally might have been because of ramadan. Also the disco of the hotel was not open. Food was very good and plentiful in the buffet restaurant. Every night there was some theme at dinner like Moroccan, French, Asian et cetera. A la carte restaurant was included once in a week and reservation was needed to make before using it. Food and wine were very good also at the a la carte restaurant. There is also a snack bar open some hours during the day and they serve pizza, french fries and crepes. Some staff members were a bit unfriendly but that might have been just because of fasting. Hotel is mostly for French people because everything is written in French, evening shows are spoken in French and some staff members doesn't speak English very well. In the reception staff still spoke very good English and thus check-in was easy. We arrived at the hotel early in the morning so our room wasn't ready yet but we were still given wristbands and we could start using all-inclusive facilities. There are good and well-equipped gym at the hotel. Activities such as aerobics, water aerobics, zumba and petanque were run by entertainment team. They also chatted with customers during the day. Especially Jamal from the entertainment team was very friendly and social and spoke fluent English. Some evenings there were an evening shows with professional dancers which were very skillful. One evening there was Moroccan show which had an amazing snake charmer. At hotel's bars there are beer (Stork), red wine, white wine, rose wine. Also whisky (King Charles, Talisman), rum (Old Rico), gin (Perigan's), vodka, tequila, different cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages like soft drinks, mint tea and coffee are served. There isn't sparkling wine at bars. Wines and beer is also available at lunch and dinner. The cleanliness of the hotel was very good. Rooms were cleaned every day. In rooms there are mini fridges but they doesn't have anything inside so I guess they are supposed to only keep customers own drinks cold. We didn't use safety deposit boxes because using them would have cost extra money. Location of the hotel is very good. Easy access to the beach and also the city center is very near. We participated in the trip to Paradise Valley organised by our hotel. In addition to the valley itself trip included a visit to the local argan oil factory. Tour cost 250 dirhams a person which included transport and guide. We ate breakfast at the hotel before the trip and we came back just before lunch. There was two WiFis in the hotel, 'decameron' and 'DECAMERON'. They both worked in the reception, at the pool and in the rooms near these. WiFi doesn't work in the restaurant or in the rooms near it. In rooms with a view to inland also the WiFi 'KENZI' of the neighbor hotel works. I can recommend Royal Decameron Tafoukt Beach Resort hotel and also the trip to Paradise Valley.

It's more of a 2.5 really. A lot of the more reasonable comments about this location are pretty much spot on. Beds are hard, we were in Room 135 right above the Bar/Club area which was particularly loud and irritating. It did however have a nice spacious balcony so swings and roundabouts. (A sun lounger or two on the balcony would have been a smart offering). The shower head was broken, invariably showers were lukewarm rather than hot, and the main hotel area, whilst not horrible looks a little rundown. Wi-Fi not available in the room, so everyone congregates in the main reception area, but it's entirely possible that some of the rooms may have a signal. I had an issue with front of house (asking for additional fresh towels 3 times and being told they'd be delivered to the room), before I sat at reception waiting for them which took an additional 45 minutes, so whilst I can't vouch for all reception staff, this isn't a ringing endorsement. Food was adequate and if you fancy a cheap clean hotel with no frills than this might be the option for you. This is not a luxury hotel, and to expect anything more would be foolish, but it is a reasonable enough place to stay if you don't have outlandish expectations.
