If you are serious about getting a great local instrument be sure to let him know, and he will help you find what you need, and provide patiently all the information necessary to start your road towards mastery. Love the sounds I'm getting out of the oud I got there just after a few days of playing it!

::I had a really nice time learning about the skins used on local drums, and the standard scaling/instrumentation with the outar. The prices were fair, and the quality was higher than I saw anywhere else in Morocco (especially for the money). I'll stay in touch with them, and would recommend you swing in if you are spending time in Marrakesh.
